Description

Balsam Camps offer an extraordinary and immersive experience. Our campers are constantly inspired and always exploring!

Through adventure-based activities, our knowledgeable staff guide campers to hidden local gems and provide them with experiences that cultivate curiosity and build excitement for learning more. From thrilling excursions to moments of quiet mindfulness, our campers are engaged in the world around them.

Camps provide children with lifelong memories, and Balsam is grateful to all parents who choose us to help make them! Thank you!

We will operate out of our new campus at 604 Cawston Ave, our educators have many years experience and our groups are not split. We have up to 22 campers which puts us at a 1 to 11 ratio and 1 to 8 ratio with our lifeguard. Our Camp leaders are teachers and or early childhood educators and understand group managment and safety well. 

A typical out day will look like this, 

-  8:30, Open and free play
-  9:30, Group snack 
- 10:00, Daily group meeting, instructions and expectations, then sun screen and bathrooms and gear up, 
- 10:30, Load Bus, depart
- 11:30, Arrive at Kalamalka Park
- 11:45, Head down Trail, 
- 12:15, Arrive at "RattleSnake Point"
- 12:15, Go over boundaries and expectations for lunch
- 12:25, Lunch
- 1:00, Head back to bus, 
- 1:00, Depart Kalamalka Lake Park
- 1:40, Arrive at Kopje Park, Cars Landing
- 1:50, Go over rules and Boundaries
- 2:00, Exploration and free Play
- 3:10, Load and depart
- 3:45, Arrive at Balsam
- 4:00, Day Debrief, closing reflections "Student Lead"
- 4:15, Crafting, free play, chill in School Library
